Merissa Faye is a singer-songwriter from the Michigan Tri-City Area, known for her original music and engaging pop covers, which began as "just a girl and her guitar." Music became her outlet for self-expression, and despite recent health challenges, she continues to perform with the support of her health team. Her first single, Call You Mine, was released this Valentine’s Day. With a passion for music that resonates, Merissa Faye continues to captivate listeners with her heartfelt performances and relatable lyrics.
My Journey to Music
I discovered my love for music when I was just a little girl. I was notorious for putting on performances for my neighbors at the end of my driveway growing up. I've been singing basically since I could talk. When I was in school I started teaching myself the guitar, and I've been playing on and off ever since. I performed in school talent shows through high school and college, even winning a couple times. After a long hiatus, I made my musical debut in September 2022. Performing was something I'd always dreamed of doing. It was like living my dream. Since then I've experienced some unexpected health situations that have both challenged and inspired me to keep going. Music is healing for me. I appreciate you following along on my journey!

“I wrote ‘Call You Mine’ about the first heart-racing moment you realize that you want to be with someone. You’re wishing on everything - 11:11, full moons, shooting stars,” says Merissa. “It’s about opening your heart one more time, even if you know it might break.”
